I found below definition more on the web

Simultaneous users are the users who have a valid session in the server. Each of the users would be performing different actions like one doing login , other viewing the reports, etc.

Concurrent users are the users who have a valid session in the server & they are performing the same operation at any point of time. All the concurrent users would perform login, reports download, etc at the same point of time.

Hi All,

I always have a big confusion on the topic  and i  did some basic research on it and i found there are conflicting definitions on the Web.

Is there any standard definition from the HP or in general.

From my research i found below one

Flip it.  Simultaneous is same action, same time - Think Rendezvous. Simultaneity in organic populations is extremely rare.

Concurrent is active session but without collision on the same behavior: A on Login, B on request new password, C on Add to cart, D on change profile, etc...

Thanks James.... this is performance jargon, it would be nice if HP defines it somewhere. i have seen two clients, one using opposite of other for simultaneous vs concurrent
