Hi All,

I am doing a performance testing using HP Performance Center. Need to know if there is any way to see the 90th percentile transaction time?

I have previous knowledge in performance testing using Visual Studio and there I can see any percentile very easily. In Visual Studio Ultimate you have 90%, 95% by default in the transaction response time table.

There has to be something like that in HP Performance center right?

Thanks

Hi Nikolovski,

Yes we have.

Under transaction summary in the Analysis report we can find a column called 90 percent which gives the 90th percentile trasnaction response time. Please find attached a .png image for further details.

This is a configurable value and it can be configured for 95%, if required.

Thanks and Regards,

arrange all the response times for a particular transaction in ascending order.Say you have 10 values, then the 9th value indicates the 90th percentile RT value for that particular transaction. Its always advisable to look for into 90th percentile value as it brings out the real picture .Avg RT can give a wrong indication if you have outliers included in your metrics.

have stayed home, close to family and friends. I replied that if I had
stayed home, the terrorists would have won.

Unfortunately, my government does not agree with my definition of
winning. They think that living in fear and trying desperately to keep
us all 100% safe while flying is the most effective way to fight
terrorism. It reminds me of a boss that told me he liked it when
people lived in fear of being fired, they worked harder. I told him
being fired held no fear for me. When you live in fear, you do
irrational things - like sending millions of people's shoes through an
xray scanner every day.'
