One more thing to add: They should know this, but apparently some did not, so perhaps we have to state even stronger to panelists and possibly keynote that they are not supposed to be selling their products but rather presenting something educational to attendees, and they can mention their products without "selling" hard.

Who is our audience?So many of the panels would be immensely useful to people who work in book publishing. We shouldn't just target self published writers. We are presenting information about the future of publishing, and I kept thinking about how my friends in the industry would have benefited from - and enjoyed - the panels, especially what's new and next.

I think that both aspiring writers and existing publishers should be our on audience. That's what our track 1/track 2 sort of caters to, although we should be more clearer in our descriptions and panel focus.

Oh yes, I agree. And the panelists who stayed for other sessions DID get a lot out of it. But when I say "educational" I just mean informational versus a sales show
