Arbor Week, the first full week of April, is bringing a host of
exciting events to Lake Oswego this spring. Check out the schedule
below - there is something for everyone!
SAT April 5, 10-12pm, Hallinan Holly Haul-Away - Help remove invasive
English holly to make room for native trees. Bring gloves if you have
them--other tools and snacks provided. Meet at the Hemlock Street cul-
de-sac behind Hallinan Elementary.
MON April 7, 4-5pm, Heritage Tree Dedication Ceremony--Be a part of
history--come celebrate the City's newest Heritage Trees; two Coastal
Redwoods on 3060 Glenmorrie Drive. Dedication and reception to follow.
THUR April 10, 7-9pm, Arbor Art Show Opening-- Come see professional
and student artwork that celebrates trees at the Adult Community
Center. Sip, snack and enjoy live music. Show remains up through April
30th.
SAT April 12, 10-12pm, Tree Pruning 101 Workshop-- Learn proper pruning
technique from Damon Schrosk, certified arborist of Treecology. Free
with pre-registration.
SUN April 13, 12-3pm, Family Fun Day at Uplands Elementary-- Fun for
the whole family: scavenger hunt, arts and crafts, and an opportunity
to Ask-an-Arborist your toughest tree questions.
