Are you a visual artist who has expressed your love of trees through
painting, drawing, photography or sculpture?

The City of Lake Oswego invites local artists to submit their work for
display in the Arbor Week Art Show. The Art Show will feature tree-
themed art in celebration of Arbor Month in April. The purpose of the
art show is to provoke thought and appreciation for trees, be it in
the urban or rural environment. The Adult Community Center will host
the event, which will open with a reception Thursday, April 10th
7:00-9:00pm. The artwork will remain on display through the month of
April.

All art must feature the imagery of trees or forests, but how the
theme is incorporated is up to the individual artist. Paintings,
drawings, photography and other visual art forms will be accepted.
Three dimensional art will be displayed at the opening, but not for
the full month. All artwork must be ready to hang by Tuesday, April
1st. Artists may submit more than one work, but size limitations will
apply. It is up to individual artists to make arrangements if they
wish to sell their work. Please contact Chelsea Smith, Community
Forestry Coordinator, for more information and an application for
submission. csm...@ci.oswego.or.us or 503-675-2543.
