The Please Touch Museum is offering free admission on Saturday, June 20th from 4pm-close in conjunction with Heart Gallery Philadelphia's 2009 photography show and reception.
Ruth DeBardeleben (from Fairmount service) has three portraits in the show.
When: Saturday July 20th
Free Admission: 4pm-close
Exhibit Reception: 6pm-9pm (with food....)
Where: Please Touch Museum
Visit the museum with your kids at 4, and stop by the photo exhibit and reception in the lobby on the way back to the car, beginning at 6pm. There are usually some kind of hors d'oeuvres / finger-food at the reception, so you could (theoretically) get your kids in and out of the museum without spending money on museum-cafe junkfood.
Where else can you create a cherished family memory for little to no cash, and MORE IMPORTANTLY see some of Ruth's pritty pitchas printed up real big?

What is a Heart Gallery?
=====================
== Mission ==
To capture the individual spirits of foster children through photographs displayed throughout the state to attract potential adoptive and foster families.
== History ==
The first Heart Gallery was started in New Mexico in 2001 by Diane Granito. There are currently 80 Heart Gallery units in 48 states. Some are organized by state, some by region, some by county. The success statistics are positively staggering. Hundreds of children who had little or no chance for adoption have been placed in forever homes. The number of foster families has also increased greatly. Two children from Heart Gallery Philadelphia were selected for inclusion in the first ever 2006 National Heart Gallery exhibit in Washington DC.
Heart Gallery Philadelphia is a collaboration with the Philadelphia Department of Human Services
