Director, Special Program (Pride Center)
Position Overview:
The Director of the Pride Center serves as a champion for LGBTQ+ student success and contributes positively to Mt. San Antonio College (Mt. SAC) by leading programs and services that support students in achieving their academic, personal, and professional goals. The Director provides leadership to the Center to create an affirming environment, grounded in asset-based and equity-minded practices that cultivate an inclusive culture for identity exploration, connection, and community where LGBTQ+ students are affirmed, supported, and thrive at Mt. SAC. As a key campus leader for LGBTQ+ inclusion, the Director collaborates across the institution to promote safety, belonging, and partnership, by leading professional development workshops and training that equip faculty, staff, and students with tools to foster inclusive learning environments.
The Director oversees the daily operations of the Center, builds strong campus and community partnerships, and uses data to guide continuous improvement of programs and services. This role also secures and manages state and grant-funded initiatives, including the LGBTQ+ Chancellor’s Office Grant, ensuring compliance, transformative impact, and alignment with college-wide equity efforts. With a focus on outcomes-based and solutions-driven leadership, the Director of the Pride Center advances Mt. SAC’s Student Equity Plan, aligning efforts with the College’s mission, vision, goals, and strategic plan. This position requires student-centered decision-making, experience working with students, and collaborative leadership through shared governance, along with skills in case management, data-informed decision-making, and designing programs that foster LGBTQ+ student excellence.
