Kyodai will be having its first general meeting of the school year next
Thursday, Jan. 19th, at 9pm. Expect to meet in the same room as last
semester, St. Rob's 353. We have a lot underway for everyone, so
please come and check out what's going to be happening with Kyodai this
spring!
Also, our Japanese Cultural Night (or JCN) is coming up very soon.
Come out to St. Rob's Auditorium on Sat, Feb 4th to join us for the
event. The party will be going all evening, from 5 to 10pm, and will
include a ton of excellent performances. Be on the lookout for flyers
around campus, but here are some of the acts we have lined up:
Taiko Drumming
Koto and Shamisen Playing
Martial Arts Demonstration
Modern JPOP-style Bands
...and more!
Admission is only $2 for a whole night of acts brought in from off
campus. Don't forget about food, too! We will have Japanese food
available for purchase from vendors - look for more details on that
soon.
This is the only event all year that we expect everyone in Kyodai to
come to, so please mark your calendars. We need support from everyone
to make JCN not only a success, but an annual event once again. So,
get a group of friends together and plan on coming that night - you
won't be disappointed! =)
