Dear Venkat,

Excellent question! I am copying all our classmates to clarify:

At $100 a piece (at Nancy's request--to allow more people to be able to attend) the tickets are $35 below the actual cost to LMD. The scholarship fund is separate and was initiated by the LMD Board. Each class is being asked to raise at least $1,000. With my $250, we are already 25% of the way in. Now, I am asking other classmates to chip in something, any amount they choose, especially if they will not be able to attend the party. Those attending may wish to pledge an additional $35 per attendee to cover LMD's per ticket loss.

Regardless of what you decide to do, please know it that it is very much appreciated....
