Dear all,
The LLSC is running a first aid course again. The course is run by British Association of Ski Patrols: https://www.basp.org.uk/first-aid-training-courses/outdoor-emergency-first-aid/
It's a 16 hour course, and accepted by many outdoor governing bodies, including Mountain Training for the summer mountain leader course. Participants will need to attend both days.
I've done this previously, and it was very useful.
The course will take place Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th November 2026, in the Patey Suite at the National Indoor Climbing Centre, Ratho.
09:30-17:30, both Saturday and Sunday in the Patey Suite at Ratho.
There will be a practical outside component, so please dress accordingly in clothes you would be willing to lie down outside in!
The LLSC are charging £50 to secure a place on the course. If you would like to attend, please let me know and pay the LLSC. Bank details are on the club membership page: https://www.llsclub.co.uk/index.php/club/membership
