NOMINATIONS NOW BEING ACCEPTED!!!!

        The Richard L. Schlegel National Legion of Honor Award for an Emerging Activist is given to a U.S. based high school student or college undergraduate who has made outstanding contributions to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) communities through activism, advocacy, education, and/or policy. The 2014 Richard L. Schlegel Award will be presented at the Annual DC LGBTQ Studies Symposium in Fairfax, VA on November 8th, 2014. Nominations will be accepted from now through Sunday, September 28th, 2014. For more information about the Symposium, please see http://www.american.edu/ocl/cdi/GLBT-Symposium.cfm. The recipient will receive a cash award, travel expenses for attending the Annual LGBTQ Studies Symposium on November 8th, 2014, and a plaque commemorating the award.
