Friends,
Since 2009, Lambda Legal and Perkins Coie have represented a group of state employees in a case challenging the State's attempt to strip lesbian and gay employees of domestic partner coverage. Thanks to the dedication of our plaintiffs, we have been able to obtain a court order maintaining the benefits while the case proceeds, but the case isn't over yet. As we prepare for the next chapter of work in the litigation, it would be helpful to hear stories from state workers who rely on domestic partner coverage to protect their families. If you're willing to share your experience with us, please contact Tara Borelli at
tbor...@lambdalegal.org, or at
213-382-7600, ext. 231.
Best regards,
Tara Borelli
