CONCERT UPDATE

MUSIC, FUN, AND MORE!!
First, a very personal note.. Only once before has a Lake Country Jubilee Concert occurred on my birthday. That was on my 65th birthday- 24 years ago! Then, Les Beasley and the Florida Boys, and Rex Nelon and the Nelons, were there to help me celebrate. This Saturday, Lord willing, I will complete 89 years, and launch into number 90! And, there’s no better place to celebrate a birthday than Lake Country Jubilee. And, I’ll be taking the stage at 6:10PM to express my gratitude for having the honor of being friends with you for all these years! We’ve shared many years of joy and fellowship, and some tears, as well. I’ll probably sing a couple of songs I think you’ll remember. Because there’s so much talent on the program, this will probably be the only time the occasion it will be mentioned, so I wanted to personally invite you to come a little early and be a part of my birthday celebration!!
MUSIC! MUSIC! MUSIC!
Most concerts, including Lake Country Jubilee, present two or three artists. But, at tomorrow’s Lake Country Jubilee Concert, we’ll be presenting Greater Vision, The Mark Trammell Quartet, The Guardians, and The Second Half Quartet! That’s four very talented groups, each with a unique history, and sound. It’s going to be a “don’t miss” night of music, and fun! It all happens at the Terrell Performing Arts Center, now being re-named the Jamie Foxx P.A.C., located at 400 Poetry Road in Terrell, Texas. The Doors open at 5:30, and at 6:10 I’ll be taking the stage for a brief time sharing my personal of gratitude for your friendship, and support, as I celebrate my 89th birthday! And, I plan on sharing a couple of songs with a history at Lake Country Jubilee I think you’ll enjoy. As usual, the LCJ Concert will begin at 6:30pm. We expect to have tickets available at the door. Great places to eat include Pop’s Honey Fried Chicken, El Nogalito Mexican Restaurant, and Country House Restaurant… The temperature for the /Terrell is forecast to peak at 93 degrees at 4pm, then fall rapidly to the mid to upper 80’s by concert time. Perfect for a concert!!! A suggestion: If you haven’t visited the State Fair of Texas, Sunday will be the last day for 2023. So, why not combine a visit to Lake Country Jubilee and the State Fair Texas???
