THIS AND THAT

First, some great news! Holiday Inn Express, 300 Tanger Drive, is once again our Terrell Headquarters. The Lake Country Jubilee special rate is now $99. That’s a small increase from pre-pandemic days, but still a bargain in the current economy. One minor change: Lake Country Jubilee fans are now counted as members of a “Group.”  When making reservations remember to use the “Group Code” LCJ. The Reservation number is still 972 563 7888… Because of the extended heat wave, might I suggest you consider arriving at Terrell around noon Saturday, long before “peak heat,” having a meal at one of the many fine eateries in Terrell, checking into the Holiday Inn Express, resting for a while, and then make the short drive to the TPAC for a great LCJ Concert… Speaking of restaurants, some of my favorites are Pop’s Honey Fried Chicken which features 15 meats and 16 vegetables served “Cafeteria Style”, El Nogalito Mexican Restaurant, and Country Kitchen featuring a broad menu of great food. Of course, Terrell has the full array of “nationally known franchise” restaurants. Come, and enjoy… A brief weather note: When you see weather reports on D/FW television, most of the temperatures are measured at D/FW Airport with hundreds of acres of concrete, and almost no trees, which tend to be 3 to 5 degrees higher than outlying areas. Is it going to be hot! Yes! But, the TPAC has 6 air condition units to make sure you’re comfortable! Is it forecast to be higher that other well-attended concerts we’ve presented? No! So let’s enjoy a great Lake Country Jubilee Concert with two of the finest quartet’s in the land- Triumphant and Tribute!!! I’ll see you there!!!
