A GREAT TIME FOR A GREAT CONCERT
Finally, fair skies are expected for our June 15th Lake Country Jubilee Concert when we’ll be presenting another unique talent lineup! Yes, we’ll be presenting the “First Family of Gospel Music,” The Hoppers, and the “Sweet Hearts of Gospel Music,” Jim and Melissa Brady. But we’ll also be presenting, for the first time, the legendary “Chuck Wagon Gang!” Few groups have impacted gospel music like the Chuck Wagon Gang. When Stamps Quartet came on KRLD radio, followed by the The Chuck Wagon Gang, on WBAP in 1936, it was a historic event!! I was among the first listeners!! We listened on a battery operated radio! Rural Texas had no electricity!! It had a major impact on our lives! Don’t miss The Chuck Wagon Gang’s first appearance at Lake Country Jubilee next Saturday night!! It will be a Memory Making night!! It all happens at the Performing Arts Center in Terrell Texas. The doors open at 3PM and the Concert starts at 4PM. It was at Lake Country Jubilee most of the new groups that headline concerts here, and around the world, made their first appearance in Texas! And, during our 30 years of broadcasting, Lake Country Jubilee grew from radio broadcasts, to pioneering 24/7/365 broadcasting on the internet, long before it could be done with computers! That was nearly a decade away! I used a Sony 400 CD changer to generate the programming. I kept one, as a piece of history! Now, the Cloud has come onboard! And your loyalty to Lake Country Jubilee made it all possible.
