Hi All.

I am working on THERM 7.8, and Autocad version 2023. First THERM model for me, so figuring out how this works more efficiently. Any help is welcomed!

I drew a simple installation detail with a window and door frame in CAD; cleaned all layers and exploded all poly-lines and groups before exporting to DXF.

When importing THERM as underlay, I check the box for "AutoConvert" to get the poligon selectable and just apply properties... is this possible? See image below, and DWG file attached.

Thanks again!

Hi!
Before the importing any sections it's necessary next preparation:
- all the polygons must be drawn closed;
- curved elements or parts of them are not allowed (I can share you the a special LISP which converts curved objects to polyhedral polylines);
- polygons edges must have length longer than 0.1mm;
- the files for importing must be saved in .dxf R12/LT2 format.

Hi Zugar,

Would you be able to share the LISP that helps convert arcs to polylines? I 've been trying to convert the arcs, but it doesn’t work correctly when importing into THERM.

Thank you.

Put the file somewhere specific, type appload into autocad command bar, in the popup window select the file you want to run, click load.

You will have to do this every time you open autocad unless you add the lisp to your contents as well.  To do this click contents while the window is open.

In the subsequent window click add

Browse to your lisp and select open.

Then just close the windows.

If you are asking about the “convert for therm.lsp” specifically, you can now run the program by typing “conv2therm” in the task bar.

After that just follow the command prompts.
