I don't know if anyone has had this problem with Therm 7.7 but I can't do underlay with any file, it always gives me the same error, even if I try to insert a dxf file with a simple square drawn on cad.

Hi Marialice, from my experience you must save your dxf file in the eldest format available in your cad.  More over keep in mind to check the "autoconvert" flag. "Clean" In your dxf file from all objects: Only closed polylines must be present to be correctly converted into poligons within therm.
Hope it helps.
Regards
Diego

Hi, I have the same issue.

Working with Autocad LT, creating a drawing just with polilines (all the lines are deleted), saving as Autocad R12 . DXF, giving a simple file name without spaces or symbols.

Then in Therm when using underlay, there is always the error message "can't open file".

How to solve this? It is frustrating.

Thanks

Can you provide a dxf file you are trying to to use?

Also, what version of THERM are you using?

Hi Juergen,
This issue usually appears if the dxf file is opened (in AutoCAD).

Kind regards,

Zugur
