On 21 May at 7:00pm, cyclists across Manatee and Sarasota counties will join a global movement in the Annual Ride of Silence. The ride is a solemn, slow-paced ride to honor those who have been injured or killed while cycling on public roads. This silent procession serves as a powerful reminder to motorists, law enforcement, and the community at large to share the road, respect cyclists, and advocate for safer streets. We invite all Manatee and Sarasota-area bike shops and riders to participate, support, and help spread the message of remembrance, unity, and the urgent need for road safety awareness.
