Join Us for the Annual Ride of Silence – Honoring Cyclists Lost and Promoting Road Safety

On 21 May at 7:00pm, cyclists across Manatee and Sarasota counties will join a global movement in the Annual Ride of Silence.  The ride is a solemn, slow-paced ride to honor those who have been injured or killed while cycling on public roads. This silent procession serves as a powerful reminder to motorists, law enforcement, and the community at large to share the road, respect cyclists, and advocate for safer streets. We invite all Manatee and Sarasota-area bike shops and riders to participate, support, and help spread the message of remembrance, unity, and the urgent need for road safety awareness.

We will meet at the Robart Arena in Sarasota, in the southwest parking lot at 6:30pm.  Please reach out with questions or comments.  I hope to see you on the 21st.

Cheers,
Eugene Rider
