This is a big deal.  Besides smoother pavement, it could allow for slightly wider bike lanes, and maybe seeing them painted green.  Has this group been involved in any way with this project?  I know 2027 seems like a long way off, but decisions are made very early in construction projects.

Does this effort include "Complete Streets" concepts?

Per the Observer, "The largest project on the Sarasota County side for FDOT’s work plan will be the Gulf of Mexico Drive resurfacing project.  The entirety of GMD will be resurfaced, but FDOT’s plan shows Sarasota County’s side will be the first to get the upgrade. In 2027, the FDOT plans to use $5,155,601 for this."
