We are looking for interns at WFREC.

See attached JVS forms and youth WFREC job descriptions!!!

JVS Forms: (JVS Youth Services Programs.doc, Youth Program List of Needed Forms for All Programs.doc, Youth Candidate Declaration.doc, JVS Youth Services Information Sheet.doc, JVS Referral Services Form.pdf)

Job Descriptions: (Youth Translation Assistant, Youth Office Assistant, Youth Publishing Assistant and Youth Social Media Assistant)

Currently, we're only able to take interns through two community programs from Jewish Vocational Services: www.jvsla.org as they provide youth interns 14-24 yrs. of age with the opportunity to obtain real-life work experience and get paid for their internship. The program lasts for only a fixed amount of hours.

To qualify and participate in JVS Youth Services paid work experience every interested youth must complete the following to join. JVS has limited spots so make sure everything is turned in accurately.

Eligibility:

•             Live or reside in the West Los Angeles, Venice, Santa Monica, or the Hollywood area

•             (Call to see if zip code qualifies)

•             Be ages 14-24yrs of age

•             Submit a complete application and youth declaration

•             Must meet low-income requirements as outlined by the County of Los Angeles

•             Provide Right-to-work documentation to conduct employment

A youth can complete this packet and email nca...@jvsl.org or fax to (310) 309-6032 or drop-off in a sealed envelope a completed application packet with copies of needed documents at either of our office locations:

Marina Del Rey WorkSource Center 13160 Mindanao Way, Ste.240.

Marina Del Rey, CA 90292

or

West Hollywood WorkSource Center 5757 Wilshire Blvd. Promenade Three.

Los Angeles, CA 90036

Please post: Attention to JVS Youth Services.

Each application will be reviewed and responded within 2-3days of receipt via phone, email, or mail. If a client qualifies for one of our programs he/she will be assigned a case manager to start working with them. If not eligible we will refer youth accordingly to other youth providers that may fit their geographic area and/or other identified needs.

Please contact Nancy Cabrel at 310-309-6000 ext. 227 or via email at: NCa...@jvsla.org to see if you are eligible to intern for us through JVS.

There are strict guidelines that JVS follows.

If the prospective intern is interested, they must be eligible for JVS services - that person needs to first go through the JVS training program!

An interview can be set up with our agency once a referral is made through JVS.

*Please note: Daniel Delgadillo is the wrong person to contact – contact Nancy at JVS directly for any questions regarding their services - thank you
