Interesting, if ultimately fruitless afternoon on SMB today.

Had the day off and was horny, it's often hard to get guys to come to
my place so I made for Hollywood, figured I'd cruise SMB for kicks
(not expecting much) and then maybe call somebody with a Hollywood-
incall ad on CL or Rentboy.

First pass I noticed a black guy by the donut shop at the (formerly)
infamous SMB and Highland corner. All done up like is usual for WeHo
(but not for the Hollywood ghetto), thought maybe he was a working guy
so I stopped for a donut. Looked like a guy I've seen advertise on CL
lately (young black guy with nice body, arms crossed). Couldn't get
any sign he was interested, and he had an iPhone, so if he does work
it, it's not on SMB.

Gave up on SMB for a while and tried a CL contact, that didn't work,
so after wasting time with that I cruised again. There was this
fucking hot guy, early 20s with a backpack. Kinda stalked him a bit,
he was entirely oblivious--fairly certain he was high as a kite. At
one point I saw him punch a newspaper stand--hard.

A little later I'd noticed unusual eye contact with at least one of
the day-laborers by the lumber yard. Circled back, made eye contact
again and pulled well up past the group, sure enough he walked over
and got in. There was no confusion about what he was there for,
interestingly he would've been fine going all the way back to my
place. Him being a latino with a very hot body I quickly steered the
conversation to 'what he liked to do' and established that I top and
he doesn't like to bottom. Sadly a somewhat expected result, though
there was a hint that he might consider it some other (more desperate)
time... I dropped him back off, but was still tempted. Gorgeously
developed upper body, though his face was nothing to write home
about.

Was a bit surprised it was this easy to pickup a latino day-laborer
this kind of work, but it was SMB...

Over the course of the afternoon I noticed a couple other guys that
looked exactly like what you *used* to be able to assume was a working
guy, but not anymore. There weren't even any nasty trannies working
the blvd. Maybe later in the day, but I doubt it... as mentioned
numerous times, it's pretty well entirely 'cleaned up'. Stopped by
the Spotlight, as usual they had a hot young barback you wish to hell
was working, mostly old drunks otherwise. Couple middle-age guys who
might still be trying to work it, but I don't drink enough to pay for
that. Also tried the La Jolla parking lot, usual cruising but nobody
interested in me... sniff...

In the end I went to the massage place I've mentioned before for
relief. Guess I'll wait 'til Vegas next week to get what I really
want.
