What is going on with this???????

Coaches should NOT remove players from their team. Jennifer, this is especially frustrating since Karen asked that a player that didn't register in time be put on her team.

Unless there is a hugely compelling reason to move this girl off of Karen's team leave her on this roster and put the child who didn't register on time on another team.

Ann,

I hope all is going well.  Over the weekend, we received email that our daughter, Hannah Aslam, was on Karen Young's  WR U-8 rec team.  She was quite excited to find out that several of her friends were also on the team.  Yesterday afternoon, Karen Young emailed us to say that Hannah had been removed from her team.  I'm not sure why.  I emailed Jennifer Newman about this, and her response was that if I were willing to coach, I can have Hannah with her friends on a new team.  Unfortunately, I can not coach this spring (family health issues and prior commitments, as I mentioned to Jennifer).  I completely understand that LAYSL is a volunteer organization (I've served on the board, coached/asst coached both rec and competitive teams as well as refereed for LAYSL).  But, we still haven't been been contacted by Jennifer nor Hannah's other/new coach.

Karen Young did call this afternoon to see if we had been contacted, and she also said it was ok to practice (at least tonight) with her team.  I hope that it's ok to do that, as we haven't been contacted by either Jennifer or any other coaches.

I'm sure you are busy, but I wanted to let you know the situation.

Thank you, Tariq
