Increasing the number of games/season

Hi all,

I don't know of a soccer league that doesn't play an 8 game
schedule/season. Why do we have only 6? Perhaps weather or the beginning
of school was a reason but winter weather starts later than it once did
and the beginning of school has been moved earlier.

What does everyone think of making our seasons 8 games or at least taking
a step in that direction to 7?

I'm thinking of next fall, not this season.
