LASzip.exe download?

Hello,

(Sorry if this is answered elsewhere- can't seem to find it.)

Is the LASzip.exe standalone GUI no longer available? I can't seem to find it, and my old bookmarked link takes me to a dead page. Is this still available?

I can find the DLL repository but I'm looking for the standalone GUI.

Here's where I used to download it:

Hi Justin,

you find the latest download of the full package at

https://rapidlasso.de/customers/

this include also laszip.exe

It you look for standalone tools they are at
https://github.com/LAStools/LAStools.github.io/tree/master/download

lastools.org is no longer maintained.

After some e-Mails about the lastools.org page some more clarification:
The page lastools.org was NEVER maintained.
It was and is just redirected to https://lastools.github.io
This redirection still works, and https://lastools.github.io is maintained.
For some reason documents in the redirection are not found since some time.

https://lastools.github.io/download/las2txt_README.txt > work well
http://lastools.org/download/las2txt_README.txt > result a 404

Well, my hope was, that if you get a dead link at e.g.
http://lastools.org/download/las2txt_README.txt
some may just try
http://lastools.org
to see, if the page itself is there.
Then you get the
https://lastools.github.io
page and you will see all links to everything.
Its that easy.

About your question Kirk: I try to keep redundancy as minimal as possible.

laszip.org is still there, but new contend will be found at

rapidlasso.de and the github pages.

Those sources are the reference and will be maintained.

The content of laszip.org moved to https://rapidlasso.de/laszip/.

laszip.org was last updated in 2019 - so it was not very up to date for a while.
