Mayfair Way Pump Water Main Flushing

The Public Works Crew will begin flushing water mains in the Mayfair Way area starting today, August 8th, and continuing through the weekend. This process will involve activating Water Bleeders in that specific area. If you encounter low water pressure during this period, please reach out to the office at 207-247-5239.

Please be aware that some residents may notice discolored water, known as "brown water," caused by naturally occurring minerals that accumulate in the water mains and are dislodged due to changing water pressures. While this may not look appealing, it is harmless. Simply run your water until it clears up. The most effective way to do this is by using an outdoor hose or spigot.
