Water Main Bleeders

Beginning this week, the Crew will start activating water main bleeders throughout the Community. This process allows a small stream of water to flow continuously through the pipes, which helps prevent freezing.

During the initial activation, you may notice "brown water." This discoloration is caused by naturally occurring minerals that have settled inside the water mains and have been disturbed due to fluctuating water pressures. While these minerals may look unappealing, they are not harmful. Simply run your water until it clears up, and the most effective way to do this is by using your outdoor hose or spigot.
