Earlier today, we had an outside vendor working on a few fire hydrants along Old Portland Road. Unfortunately, this led to water pressure issues, resulting in some homes in the area experiencing discolored water. This discoloration is caused by naturally occurring minerals that have been unsettled inside the water mains due to fluctuating water pressures. While these minerals are not harmful, they can be unsightly. To resolve this, simply run your water until it becomes clear. The most effective method is to run your outdoor hose or spigot.
