Unfortunately, vandalism was committed overnight on one of the community fire hydrants on Briar Lane, resulting in a significant rise in pressure within our water mains. The LAC Public Works department is currently addressing this situation.

However, during this time, residents throughout the Community area might experience discoloration of their water. It's essential to note that the discoloration is mainly due to naturally occurring minerals, such as manganese, present in our water mains. While these minerals are not harmful, they can become dislodged and cause discoloration when water flow fluctuates, such as during a water main break. If you notice any discoloration, we recommend running your water until it clears. The most effective method is to use an outdoor spigot, which should help clear the discolored water more efficiently.

We appreciate your understanding and patience as we work to resolve this matter as quickly as possible. If you have any questions or need further assistance, please feel free to contact us. 207-247-5239
