You are also cordially invited to participate in the Indigenous Peoples Awareness Day activities at John Abbott College on Wednesday Nov. 22, 2017 .
We have a full day of activities, in the Agora from 10:00 – 3:00.
· Throughout the day, there will be demonstrations of beadwork, basket weaving and pottery by artisans Lorrie Oke and Natasha Smoke Santiago.
· Starting at 10:30 Emilio Wawatie from the Wapikoni Mobile will present a series of short films followed by a discussion period.
· Come enjoy the Tundra circus at 11:30 with their Inuit games, throat singing and fun activities.
· Then at 12:30, thrive to the beat of the traditional drums of the Buffalo Hat Singers and dancers Barbara Diabo and Ivanie Aubin-Malo.
All are welcome to this day of celebration.
