The new coffee menu board starts this Saturday, March 1st. Here's the first round of monthly offerings I've found:
-Honduras El Filo Cup of Excellence #4: This and intensely sweet and clean offering will floral notes to boot.
-Kenya Mwiria AA Top: Another excellent Kenya auction lot. This almost reminds me a good Yirgacheffe (not a bad thing). It bright with lemon and orange marmalade notes. And it's sweetness last way into the finish.
-Colombia Cauca Maria Santos' Los Sauces: We've had this on limited basis for a couple of weeks. It'll be in on a consistent basis now. This is a coffee that is balance with great body and clean pear and tropical fruit acidity.
-Papua New Guinea Kunjun Estate: Sumatra lovers this is your coffee to try. Kunjun has distinct cedar sweetness mixed with strawberries and finish of smokiness and chocolate.
-Brazil Yellow Bourbon Fazenda Cachoeira: One we've had since the beginning, this Brazil always seems to cup well. It's peanut butter and almonds with hints of lemon and cherry. Sweet and medium bodied, this coffee doesn't disappoint.
Enjoy the coffees this month and let me know what you think. I've already begun looking for next months offerings.
Also note that the espresso beverage price increase I mentioned in my last email, will start on Saturday, March 1st, as well.
See you around the shop.
