See Kitzur SA 117:4 Metzuah edition P. 795 fn 6, which states that Kitniyyos is specifically allowed for Cholim
He cites:
Mishnah B'rurah 453:6,7,12
Also, see Shaar Hatizyyun 6 there regarding "Sh'nei vatzores" food shortages
