Kitzur SA 141:5 - 3 Half-Shekels

The Kitzur S"A quoting the Rema 494:1 says that we give Half-Shekels as a Zeicher to the Shekalim and that the Minhog is to give 3 following that the word "Terumah" appears 3 time in Parshas Shekalim.


Question:
Why not use the 3 times the phrase "Machatzis Hashekel" appears there instead of "Terumah"?
