to Kitzur List
The Kitzur SA 109:9 says not to worry about throwing out water due to either
• A death [in the neighborhood]
Or
• The T'kufah [Equinox]
However, L'Chatchilah, one should put a needle [Machat] in that water.
The Metzudah edition p. 761 fn 6 cites Rema Y"D 116 to also NOT draw water at the time of the vernal equinox.
And that many later Pos'kim are lenient.
----------
Questions:
1. What is the origin of the concern about the water during a T'kufah?
2. Would keeping it covered [EG Tzamid Pasil] help?

Shalom and Best Regards,
RRW
