The Kitzur S"A in Hilchos Y"T 98:1 states that one may burn a fire on Y"T even for non-food needs
YET
A Yahrzeit candle is NOT considered a need and therefore it should not be kindled [by a Jew] on Y"T.

Why is the Yahrzeit Candle not construed as a legitimate "Tzorech"?
