We've all been seeing more e-motos around our neighborhood. Parents: did you know that your child must be 16+ with an endorsed license to ride an electric motorcycle?

What are the rules, and how do you tell the difference between an e-bike and an e-moto? The following is excerpted from the City's E-bike/E-moto website:

  • It’s illegal to ride an electric motorcycle on the roadway without the required registration, licensing, and insurance.
  • They may not be ridden on the CKC.
  • Riders must have a valid driver's license with a motorcycle endorsement.
