This Weekend Road Closure

Hi everyone,

Following the recent closures on 114th Ave NE, please be advised that NE 85th Street will be closed between 120th Ave NE and 6th St, this Friday Evening, May 8th, through early morning Monday, May 11th.

Starting this Monday, drivers will encounter new multilane roundabouts where NE 85th Street passes under I-405. Please follow these safety tips for navigating the new roundabouts:

- Choose your lane: Use the lane assignment signs to select the correct lane before entering.

- Yield to pedestrians: Stop for pedestrians in crosswalks both when entering and exiting.

- Yield to traffic: Look to your left and yield to drivers already inside the roundabout.

- Stay in your lane: Follow the pavement markings throughout the roundabout.

- Signal your exit: Use your right turn signal to indicate when you are exiting.

Please also note the following upcoming closures on I-405 between NE 124th and NE 70th:

- May 15–17: Southbound I-405 closure

- May 29–31: Northbound I-405 closure

Following these dates, WSDOT aims to pause closures through June and early July for the World Cup.
