Recommend:

  • Use a locking mailbox!
  • Lock garages and sheds
  • Lock cars
  • Put bikes/e-bikes indoors (locks are easy to defeat)
  • Home for sale? Don’t leave key in lockbox overnight, and advise contractors to take away their tools each night

Fraud/Scams/Schemes are increasing

  • Collect mail and packages promptly
  • Watch out for pickpockets making physical contact in public
  • Beware of phishing messages or fake security alerts
  • Monitor your credit for new accounts or inquiries (freeze your credit)
  • No government agency will contact you by phone or text, and they will never demand payment of any kind.
