From Friday night, Feb. 13, through early Monday morning, Feb. 16, the Northeast 85th Street on-ramp to northbound I-405 in Kirkland will be Closed for utility work and paving. During this time, northbound I-405 will be reduced by at least one lane near the interchange. These closures are part of the ongoing I-405/Northeast 85th Street Interchange and Inline BRT Station Project.
In addition to the main on-ramp closure, travelers should expect nightly closures of the northbound Exit 18 off-ramp and further lane reductions on both I-405 and westbound Northeast 85th Street. While detours will be signed, they are not expected to handle typical traffic volumes. Officials recommend delaying non-essential trips or traveling during off-peak hours to avoid significant delays.
