114th Roundabout Reconfiguration on NE 85th Street:

Hi everyone,

The City has provided an update on Phase 2 of the NE 85th Street and 114th Avenue NE Roundabout construction. Please note that there are expected to be four phases in total before completion.

Following this weekend’s closure of NE 85th Street, from Friday, August 7 at 10:00 PM to Monday, August 10 at 5:00 AM, a new temporary roundabout configuration will take effect on Monday, August 10.

• Lane Changes: Lanes will be narrower. Please give buses, semi-trucks, and other large vehicles extra space.

• Passenger Vehicles: Cars can now drive the entire roundabout loop. (Kirkland Ave to 114th Ave will nolonger have to go under 405 and back.)

• Trucks & Long-Bed Trailers: Left turns are prohibited within the roundabout—please follow the posted truck detour. Large vehicles heading to the Everest Neighborhood should take 9th Avenue S to avoid the low-clearance bridge on Kirkland Way.
