Please mark your calendars and join the students and staff of the Fine
& Performing Arts Department for our 58th Annual Festival of the Arts
on Saturday, May 17, at Mesier Park in the Village of Wappingers
Falls.

An exhibit of the artwork of thousands of WCSD students will be open
to the public from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

In addition, art-making activities and demonstrations of artistic
skills will be available for the public’s enjoyment and participation
from 12:00 to 3:30 p.m. This year they will include techniques of
three-dimensional art, painting demonstrations, paper bead-making,
hand-building, sculpting and wheel-throwing of clay, puppet-making,
paper bag hat design, small and large mural painting, and t-shirt and
poster coloring.

Musical performances by some of the WCSD instrumental, vocal and
general music students will begin at 10:00 a.m. A performance
schedule is attached for your convenience.

The inclement weather date is Sunday, May 18, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Music performances will begin at noon. Postponement information will
be listed on the District website and broadcast on local radio
stations.
