December 7th, 1982 Kingston and District Branch received its charter.
In 2007, our branch will be celebrating its 25th anniversary of the
awarding of that charter. We hope to make it a yearlong celebration
with special events and activities. But we need your help!! We are
looking for a few good people to help out on the Anniversary Committee.
We are also looking for your ideas and input as to what types of
activities you might like. Please don't sit back and hope someone
else will do it. We want to make this a great year but it can only be
as good as the effort that's put into it.

GUIDELINES FOR KINGSTON & DISTRICT BRANCH
"ANNIVERSARY '07" COMMITTEE

1. Composition: The Committee shall consist of at least three branch
members -To date: Chair - Jim Hueglin; Members - June Hueglin, Barb
Fagg, Reace Jackson

2. Aim: To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the awarding of the
Kingston and District Branch charter 7 Dec 1982 and to acknowledge the
contribution of those members who have served in an executive capacity
and are collectively responsible for the success the branch enjoys
today.

3. Execution: Some suggested activities: (this is not a restrictive or
comprehensive list... merely some suggestions!)

a. Create a suitable anniversary logo;

b. Social activities - special OUTREACH" activities, AGM '07 - special
invite to all past executive, Special birthday party, 7 December;

c. Handouts - pocket calendar commemorative coin, commemorative pin;

d. Mail outs - fridge magnets, wall calendar., window decals, pocket
document wallets;

e. Publish a commemorative booklet.

f. Include a request in '06 Branch reports for ideas, memorabilia,
trivia, etc.

g. Publish a list of past executive members.

4. Financial: Expenditures must be presented to and approved by the
Branch Board of Directors. Anniversary Committee members shall be
reimbursed for all reasonable out-of-pocket expenses, i.e. paper or
miscellaneous office supplies, mileage expenses to meetings, snacks for
meetings, etc. (Contact VP Ops or Treasurer for expense claim forms)

5. Time lines:

20 Apr 06 - present "rough draft" of Anniversary "07" plan to BOD
meeting.
17 Aug 06 - present detailed "draft" plan, to include cost
estimates, to BOD meeting.
19 Oct 06 - final plan to be approved by BOD and published in winter

One of the suggestions we have had for a logo for the 25th anniversary
is the current Branch logo superimposed on the numeral 25.
It is a design that was used by the National office for its 30th
anniversary.

Jim Hueglin
