Hello KIC members,

As you may know, eLibraryMN is a collection of e-resources that are made available with funding from MDE and the MN Dept of Higher Education.  Minitex is the organization that facilitates the statewide licenses for these products. We make them available to all Minnesotans, with no login, if your device registers through IP address or geolocation as originating with Minnesota state boundaries.

In addition, the vendors are able to provide each MN school with their own login access and connection to single sign on functionality at no additional cost.  So while anyone can access resources on the eLibraryMN portal, many schools in Minnesota take advantage of having  unique URLs that they can use within their own apps ecosystem.

The collection is up for reevaluation in the upcoming year.  While it has traditionally been focused on 'library' types of e-resources, like EBSCO research databases and Britannica, during the last RFP we purchased PebbleGO, which is used by classroom teachers more broadly as a curriculum support.

We are seeking KIC's input on ideas for resources that would be heavily used and beneficial to schools across the entire state through a quick feedback form. While our funding is very much up in the air right now, we must proceed as usual with seeking the opinions of Minnesota educators and librarians. We hope to provide the resources that are most responsive to our state's evolving needs.

Thank you so much for providing ideas for resources that might fit these needs.  You are the Minnesota experts on educational technology, and we need to hear from you!

Best,
Ann
