Prayer for Taylor's campus

devasatating news. This is added on to other urgent news I had just
read about from my Taylor email.
The most recent I just heard about this morning. A van carrying Taylor
students and dining commons workers was returning from a banquet in
Fort Wayne. On the way back, it hit a semitrailor on the interstate.
4 Taylor students have been killed, and 1 dining commons worker. 2
were flown via helicopter to a hospital in Fort Wayne. I do not know
if either of those 2 were included in the previous 5.
Earlier this week, I got news that a girl named Melissa, one of those
who was in Taylor's Summer Honors program with me back in 2001, has
been in the hospital this week. I do not know many details at this
time, but I do know that her situation remains critical. She has
already been in to surgery to remove a blood clot, and more surgery is
reported likely.
Taylor is a small school, of only 1900 students. It is inevitable that
everyone in our community will be affected by this incident in some
way. I personally do not yet know who the students were who were
involved in the collission, but I have a feeling I will have known
several of them. I feel awful that I am not with my Taylor community
right now. Please be in prayer for the entire Taylor community at this
time.
