For those of you who have checked my blog site over this past week, thank you for your prayers concerning the strike (details on http://kevinduf.blogspot.com). It finally finished Friday afternoon. I have only now been able to write about it. Although there was somewhat of a demonstration here in Shell by the military base, it was never to the point that we felt threatened.

I have been able to experience quite a bit at the hospital, despite the strike. We didn't have many patients, but we did have several interesting ones. I also experienced probably the most difficult part of medical care on Friday morning when I saw my first patient die, a young boy of only 3 years old. It was quite difficult, but it made me realize even more how much I want to go into medicine--so I can help to keep things like that from happening to more people.

Thank you for your continued thoughts and prayers.

Kevin
