The adventure is about to start

Thank you all for signing up for updates.  In just a couple of hours I head to Grand Rapids airport to take off for Ecuador!  I'll be spending this first month in Shell, the airbase of End of the Spear.  For this first leg of the trip, it sounds like I'll be spending most of my time in the ER, helping out wherever I can.  I'll be living with an Ecuadorian family for my time there.  I'll let you know when I have more to report, but here are some immediate prayer requests for at least the next week:

Pray for safety as I travel, for me and for my luggage.
Pray for me as I adjust to my new surroundings and people.
Pray that the Spanish I've learned would come back to me easily so I can communicate well.
Pray that I would learn quickly in the hospital so I can be as much help as possible.
