Would we have to implement a BST with a linked list?

Hi Duncan,
Good question!
This is unlikely. The reason is that there isn't a whole lot of
utility in this data structure nor is there any great idea revealed by
the example. It is a bad example of how to implement a BST with little
redeeming educational value.
So, even though it is good practice of programming skill -- probably
not such a good exam question.
