Do we need to know how to reverse a linked list?

You should be very familiar with the properties of linked lists and
how to manipulate them -- moth at the algorithmic level and also at
the level of code.

Reversing a linked list is one of mainy reasonable things we coudl ask
you to do. For soem other reasonable examples, you might want to check
out the old "Mastery" exam pool on the intro web site:

...we could ask virtually any such manipulation, not just the ones
there. But, practicing with thsoe will get your mid in shape!
