I just saw an interesting interview with playwright Suzan-Lori Parks, who wrote a play a day for a year (2002.) The subjects of her daily plays, as near as I can tell, seem to come from the spark of some daily occurence, either in her life or in the news. She discussed what it meant to write everyday and it occurred to me that she could have just as well have been talking about making a painting a day. Pretty cool.

From her site:

"365 Days/365 Plays started in November 2002 when Suzan-Lori Parks committed to writing a play a day for the next 365 days. From Nov 13, 2006– Nov 12, 2007 the 365 Days/365 Plays National Festival will present the work simultaneously across the country, creating the largest collaboration in the history of American theater."

Here's the link.
