Hi everyone,
Greg asked me to share our 7 year old's story.
We are a homeschooling family with 4 children.
Our 7 year old is our third child.
She knew very early on in our Ka-Ching adventure
that she would like to sell popcorn to her friends at cross country and
gymnastics.
She has slowly been saving in her IGAF for a air
popcorn machine. We happened to find one in a second hand store for
R28!
She made R18 profit in her first week and was
thrilled. And has now been able to save up for the toy she wanted 4 weeks
later.
In this whole process we have had some learning
curves...she was not keen on spending her hard earned money to replenish her
supplies of popcorn kernels, nor on the paper bags. But she also learnt valuable
computer skills making labels and signs for her packets.
Now my other two older children are still sitting
on their stash of IGAF cash trying to find a productive pursuit. The greatest
thing to overcome here is that my oldest is just not old enough to carry the
full responsibility of what she wants to do...but patience is a
virtue.
Look forward to hearing more about your
adventures.
Kind regards
Wendy
