Investigators are looking into a deadly crash involving a Norfolk
Southern Train.
The train slammed into a truck in Pulaski County at around 3:30 on
Thursday afternoon. The accident happened along Freedom Church Road,
just south of Eubank.
The truck, which was hauling household appliances, was pushed hundreds
of feet down the track by the oncoming train.
The coroner has not released the identity of the victim, but says he
was a man in his 30's who worked as a subcontractor for Home Depot in
Lexington. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators say the truck either stopped or stalled on the tracks,
but don't know which.
Norfolk Southern is conducting its own investigation into the deadly
accident.
There is this story here, does anyone know anything about this besides
what is here?
They also have this poll:
As temperatures soar do you believe the state is doing enough to raise
awareness to the dangers of leaving children and pets in hot vehicles?
YOU can answer yes or no and I think this is probably a ploy for them
to get some more money some way some grant funds? I mean we don't
want our kids dying and stuff, but how many people in KY are going
without airconditioning? So I guess that is just my personal view,
one or two ignorant people don't mean everyone is going to do the same
things, but then laws get made off of them one or two people that hurt
millions and really for no good reason, is this one of those wedge
issues or what?
Anyways I also tried to look at that myspace link and it did not open
for me, I don't know what is up with that?
